Two young men have reportedly been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces in the Sui area of Balochistan’s Dera Bugti district, local sources said.
The men, identified as Ashref, son of Bhora Khan Bugti, and Pato Khan, son of Siraj Bugti, were allegedly detained by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel on Sunday. Their current whereabouts remain unknown.
Rights groups have long accused Pakistani security forces and intelligence agencies of involvement in enforced disappearances in Balochistan. Activists say such cases are frequent, targeting civilians without due process and creating an atmosphere of fear.
In December alone, eight cases of enforced disappearances were reported from Dera Bugti, highlighting the persistent nature of the issue in the region.
