As Srinagar is all set to host 3rd working group meeting of tourism delegates from G20 nations, the department of tourism will be organizing a fifteen day cultural event ‘Reflection of J&Ks Culture’ as a prelude to the first major international event, scheduled to begin on May 22.
The event according to Secretary Tourism, Syed Abid Rashid Shah will be held in three phase’s pre, post and in the midst of the G20 tourism track meeting.
Shah, who recently assumed as Secretary Tourism said the event was aimed at portraying the rich cultural diversity of Jammu and Kashmir on the international front.
“As you know J&K is hosting the 3rd G20 working group meeting of tourism delegates from G20 countries, a huge participation of people has so far been witnessed in every event. Department of Tourism we will be organizing a 15 days cultural event in Srinagar in this direction,” Secretary Tourism told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.
He urged the youngsters to immediately register themselves with the J&K cultural academy, if they wish to perform during the vent. He said the event will not only portray the diverse culture of J&K but also provides a platform to youngsters to showcase their talent.
“Cultural events reflect our rich culture and also provide a platform to talented boys and girls. All these events will be held during the next two weeks,” he added.
