Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, deputy foreign minister of political affairs, met with Daniyar Zhoolchiev, the acting ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, to discuss strengthening bilateral political, economic, and trade relations.

During the meeting, Zhoolchiev emphasized that a high-level delegation from Kyrgyzstan would visit Afghanistan to enhance political and economic ties between the two countries.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs quoted Stanikzai as saying that strengthening relations with Kyrgyzstan is important and viewed it as a step toward the economic development of both nations.

The Islamic Emirate’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: “In this meeting, bilateral political, economic, and trade relations between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan were discussed. Mr. Stanikzai highlighted the significance of strengthening political and economic ties with Kyrgyzstan and considered it an important step toward the economic advancement of both countries.”

Fazl Rahman Oria, a political analyst, commented: “Under current circumstances, Kyrgyzstan, the Central Asian countries, and Russia are on the verge of recognizing Afghanistan’s new government, which is likely to happen in the next phase.”

The statement further added that the acting ambassador of Kyrgyzstan expressed his country’s interest in investing in Afghanistan’s mining and agricultural sectors during the meeting.

Abdul Zuhur Mudabir, an economic analyst, said: “We can act as a bridge connecting Central Asia and South Asia, and by leveraging this position, we can convince both sides.”

Previously, the Kyrgyz Minister of Foreign Affairs, during the annual meeting of deputy foreign ministers of Central Asian countries, urged the region’s nations to strengthen their interaction and coordination with Afghanistan’s caretaker government.
