In a statement, Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA) spokesperson Sodho Sindhi claimed responsibility for a bomb attack on Tuesday at the residence of Nisar Khuhro, Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee and President of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh.
Sodho Sindhi stated that the PPP has, since its inception, acted as a facilitator of the Pakistani state and made decisions that are detrimental to the interests of Sindh.
The spokesperson accused the PPP of being complicit in the auctioning of Sindh’s lands, islands, and forests under the guise of initiatives like the Green Pakistan Initiative and agricultural farming. He also mentioned that the construction of dams and canals on the Indus River, which are destroying the river and delta, are decisions that the PPP and its anti-Sindh leadership have been involved in, all for the sake of maintaining their power by aligning with Punjabi imperialism.
He further said that in its pursuit of power and position, the PPP has always been at the forefront of damaging the tolerant and civilized secular spirit of Sindh to appease Punjab.
Sodho Sindhi also referenced recent events, such as the case of Dr. Shahnawaz Kanbhar in Umerkot and the violent treatment of what he called “our elders, mothers, sisters, daughters, and youth during a protest outside Karachi Press Club two days ago, where they were dragged and humiliated.” He termed these incidents the PPP’s continued subservience to the state.
He warned that Tuesday’s initial attack on Nisar Khuhro’s house is a message to the PPP and its leadership to stop their anti-Sindh and treacherous activities. Otherwise, further attacks will be intensified.
Sodho Sindhi reiterated the SRA’s commitment to continuing its resistance until Sindh achieves complete independence.
