In a significant development, the year-long public rights movement in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) has reached a crucial phase with the latest callings of ‘Haq do, ya adhikar chhod do‘ (Give rights or leave the occupation).
The POJK Joint Awami Action Committee has announced plans for the protest convoys to converge towards the Muzaffarabad assembly.
On May 11, 2024, under the leadership of District Joint Committees, the action committee will organize processions from Bhimber, Mirpur, Kotli, Sadhnuti, Poonch, Bagh, and Neelam to Muzaffarabad. The aim is to surround the assembly and the Prime Minister’s House in Muzaffarabad.
Accompanying this initiative is a new slogan, “Haqq Do Ya Adhikar Chchod Do.”
The protest led by the Joint Committee has entered a critical phase, marking a highly organized movement along the borders of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The Joint Action Committee is demanding facilities similar to those in independent Jammu and Kashmir with India.
