Thang-Ta players from Jammu and Kashmir crowned runner- up with 19 Gold, 20 Silver and 10 Bronze medals and in Sub Junior and Senior Thang-Ta National Championships held at Kanyakumari from 1 to 3 February 2023.

Pertinent to mention here that Owais Ahmed hailing from far- flung area of Pulwama has been declared best fighter boy of the tournament. 

Joint Secretary Kashmir Bashir Ahmed Bhat in his message congratulated to all the participants for taking part in the twine National championships and winning medals in particularly. He also shared that taking part in sports and physical activities alongside school, students are exposed to sport’s values, including team work, fair play, respect of rules and others, cooperation, discipline and tolerance.

The General secretary of the association Aijaz Bhat has widely appreciated the J&K sports council for providing full cooperation and support in coaching camp that helped our players to exhibit their best in championships and hope more than this in KheloIndia youth games.

Others who applauded the performance and congratulated the Medal winners are Ashok Singh Div.sports officer Jammu including sports council officials and coaches.
