A physically handicapped resident of Dasht Kaldaan area of Balochistan has claimed that the Pakistan Coast Guard has damaged his only means of livelihood—a small boat that supported his family.
According to the resident, the Coast Guard, along with other maritime agencies, has targeted several local fishermen, causing severe financial losses. He has appealed for compensation so he can continue to provide for his children.
Local people have strongly condemned the incident, stating that the Coast Guard frequently detains fishermen and damages their boats, making it increasingly difficult for them to sustain their livelihood. They described such actions as unacceptable and unjust.
Residents have also expressed their frustration over the lack of tangible support from public representatives. They criticized politicians for limiting their response to mere statements in the press while failing to address the issue directly with the concerned authorities. The locals emphasized that their difficulties are worsening with each passing day due to the ongoing actions of the security forces.
The affected fishermen and residents are now demanding immediate intervention and justice to prevent further economic hardship in the region.
