Why victim families don’t report cases of ‘Enforced Disappearance’ in Balochistan?

Nine individuals subjected to enforced disappearances in Balochistan and Karachi have reportedly been recovered, according to family sources and local organizations.

Among the recovered are four Baloch students — Doda Elahi, Gumshad Mureed, Miraj Baloch, and Muzammil Baloch — along with Ismail and Ibrahim, who were allegedly abducted from a flat in Karachi on December 8. Their families and the Baloch Yakjehti Committee had confirmed their disappearance and demanded their safe return. The family sources have confirmed that the missing students have safely returned home.

In Balochistan’s Kech district, three individuals — Abdul Salam, Yasir, and Salim — who were allegedly taken into custody by security forces last Friday night, have been released. However, another missing individual, Haji Hasil, remains unaccounted for.

Meanwhile, Uzair Umeed and Abdul Rahman Qadeer, who were allegedly abducted by security forces from a residence in Zamuran on November 18, have also been released. The two young men returned to their homes in Buleda on Tuesday, as confirmed by local sources.
