A sit-in protest against the alleged mistreatment and misconduct of the Pakistani Coast Guard entered its fourth day in Gwadar, with several major highways remaining blocked. The protest, led by the Pickup Owners Alliance, followed the expiration of an ultimatum given to authorities.

The ongoing protest has caused long lines of vehicles on the Makran Coastal Highway and the CPEC route, leaving dozens of travelers stranded. The demonstration began four days ago after negotiations between the Pickup Owners Alliance and local authorities failed.

The protesters claim that the administration is not taking their concerns seriously. “We’ve been protesting for three days, but the administration refuses to listen to us,” said one demonstrator. In response, they have blocked key highways in the region.

The demonstrators vowed to continue their sit-in until the administration takes concrete action, warning that the responsibility for the disruption lies with the district authorities.
