Prominent Baloch activist and Central Organizer of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), Dr. Mahrang Baloch, has announced that the Baloch Yakjehti Committee will hold the ‘Baloch Raaji Muchi’ (Baloch National Gathering) on July 28 in Gwadar, despite alleged attempts by Pakistani authorities to disrupt the event.

Speaking at a press conference at the Quetta Press Club on Wednesday, Dr. Baloch described the ‘Baloch National Gathering’ as a peaceful political initiative aimed at highlighting human rights violations, resource exploitation, and the ‘genocide’ of the Baloch people.

Dr. Baloch emphasized that the Baloch Yakjehti Committee has always adhered to peaceful and disciplined political activities. “From our inception, we have conducted all political actions, including long marches, with utmost peace and discipline,” she said.

She noted that preparations for ‘Baloch Raaji Muchi’ have been lawful and organized. “For the past month, preparations for Baloch Raaji Muchi have been proceeding in an extremely organized manner throughout Balochistan, and no actions have been taken by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee that are against the constitution or the law.”

However, Dr. Baloch claimed there have been attempts to disrupt the event. She stated that in the past week, numerous members of the BYC, including women, have been harassed and arrested in cities such as Gwadar, Khuzdar, Pasni, Kohlu, Kalat, Turbat, Hub, and Quetta.

She reported that three members of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee have been forcibly disappeared after being subjected to violence in Karachi. Multiple FIRs have also been registered against many individuals.

“This is not Punjab; people here cannot be intimidated or oppressed through force and violence,” Dr. Baloch said. “Our heads can be cut off, but they cannot bow down.”

Dr. Baloch called on the Baloch people to increase their support for the BYC and participate in the Baloch Raaji Muchi. “We are a nation that does not succumb to force and threats. To keep Baloch identity and Balochism alive, it is now necessary to crush the pride of Balochistan’s enemies. Therefore, the entire Baloch nation should participate in Baloch Raaji Muchi with full strength, energy, and enthusiasm.”

Addressing state authorities, Dr. Baloch insisted that ‘Baloch Raaji Muchi’ will proceed as planned. “If you use force, we will block all major highways and hold sit-ins in front of key government offices. If the event is allowed to proceed peacefully, we will ensure it is disciplined and orderly. However, if force is used to provoke the public, the state will bear the responsibility for any unrest,” she warned.
