Pakistani forces have allegedly forcibly disappeared Four people from the Kharan district of Balochistan.
According to reports, a Pakistani paramilitary force, along with intelligence agency personnel, in 20 military vehicles besieged Killi Rehmatullah in the Kharan Jungle area, conducted a house search operation, and allegedly forcibly disappeared three people. The detainees have been identified as Irshad, son of Aminullah; Dawood, son of Muhammad Anwar; and Aminullah, son of Abdul Qadir.
Meanwhile, another person has been reported missing from Kharan. On Wednesday at 2:00 PM, Amanullah Mohammad Hasni was abducted by armed individuals from his shop in Kharan Bazaar.
In another development, three young men who had been reportedly forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces from the Buleda Tehsil of Kech district have been released and returned to their homes.
The released individuals include Akram, Abdul Malik, and Salahuddin, residents of Chib Buleda. Family sources have confirmed their release.
It is pertinent to mention that enforced disappearances in Balochistan are not uncommon and continue to rise daily. More than 55,000 people are reportedly missing from various areas of the region. Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and political and social activists allege that Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies are responsible for these enforced disappearances in Balochistan.
