Two youths were reportedly detained by Pakistani forces from Balochistan’s Kech district.

According to reports, Pakistani law-enforcement agencies allegedly forcibly disappeared two youths from Kech district and subsequently moved them to an undisclosed location. The missing youths have been identified as Gulzar son of Ayub and Miraj son of Ghafoor.

According to the sources, the two youths have been shifted to an undisclosed location after being detained by the Pakistani forces on November 24. They haven’t been heard since.

It’s pertinent to mention that Ghafoor, the father of the missing Miraj, was had been a victim of forced disappearances by the Pakistani forces in 2012 and was allegedly killed by the forces while in custody — his dead body was later dumped in Karachi.

On the other hand, a sit-in protest against enforced disappearances and CTD’s “fake encounters” is still underway in Turbat. Meanwhile, security forces are reportedly detaining more people instead of surfacing the previously disappeared ones.
