Pakistani forces have launched a significant operation in the mountainous areas between Buleda and Zamuran in Balochistan’s Kech district, with reports of heavy troop deployment.
According to local sources, a large number of military personnel have been seen moving into the Patani, Garcher, and Kaliri areas of Zamuran, advancing further into the rugged terrain. Residents report growing fear and anxiety as the operation intensifies.
Earlier this month, on November 21, two individuals, Uzair Umeed and Abdul Rehman Qadeer, were forcibly disappeared from Patani in the same region. Families of the missing reported that military officials had assured them of the detainees’ release, but both remain in custody to date.
Meanwhile, a similar large-scale operation is ongoing in Balochistan’s Kalat district, where at least 40 enforced disappearances have been reported.
