Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha delivered a keynote address at the Business Conclave 2024 organized by Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC). During his address, the LG elaborated on the accomplishments of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT) following the abrogation of Article 370 and presented his vision for its future.

“Today, J&K is witnessing remarkable growth across various sectors, signifying a quiet yet profound transformation. We have initiated a comprehensive overhaul of key economic domains to ensure inclusive and rapid development, aligning with the aspirations of our people,” expressed the Lt. Governor.

Engaging with the students of SRCC, the Lt. Governor discussed the challenges and achievements witnessed in diverse sectors under the leadership of Prime Minister NarendraModi.

Emphasising the burgeoning potential of Jammu & Kashmir, the Lt. Governor remarked, “J&K has emerged as a hub for innovation, industries, tourism, education, sports, agriculture, health, entrepreneurship, and handicrafts.”

Underlining the administration’s commitment to inclusive development, the Lt. Governor affirmed, “Concrete steps have been taken to foster a fear-free, corruption-free, and terrorism-free environment in J&K. People-centric governance, efficient public service delivery mechanisms, and equal opportunity for all have significantly enhanced the quality of life.”

Lt. Governor said that policy is more than just documentation; it represents the collective dreams and aspirations of the people. “We have empowered the common man by making them stakeholders in policy-making, addressing their needs and concerns. J&K is making impressive strides in digital and physical connectivity, with Smart City projects driving urban transformation,” he added.

The Lt. Governor extended congratulations to the administration, faculty, and students of SRCC for their contributions towards nation-building. Prof. SimritKaur, Principal of Shri Ram College of Commerce, along with prominent citizens, faculty members, and students, graced the event with their presence.
