Abdul Hakim Sharaee, the acting Minister of Justice, in a meeting with the Deputy Head of Religious Affairs of Turkey and a delegation of scholars from that country, stated that the Islamic Emirate is ready to benefit from the experience of Turkey and its scholars.

During this meeting, Sharaee also discussed the legislative process in Afghanistan and the implementation of justice, stating that all the country’s laws are derived from the Quran, the traditions of the Prophet (PBUH), and authentic Hanafi jurisprudence sources.

Barakatullah Rasooli, the spokesman for the Ministry of Justice, added: “In the discussion about the legislative process in Afghanistan and the implementation of justice in the country, it was emphasized that all laws in Afghanistan are extracted from the Book of Allah, the traditions of the Prophet (PBUH), and authentic sources of Hanafi jurisprudence.”

Meanwhile, the delegation of Turkish scholars met with the acting Minister of Education to discuss historical commonalities, strengthening Afghanistan’s educational system, and the importance of mutual cooperation.

In this meeting, the Turkish scholars assured Turkey’s comprehensive support for the education sector in Afghanistan.

Mansoor Ahmad Hamza, the spokesman for the Ministry of Education, said: “Both sides held detailed discussions on strengthening Afghanistan’s educational system, providing quality educational services to the children of the nation, and other administrative matters.”

Meanwhile, some experts consider the expansion of cooperation between the Islamic Emirate and Turkey in educational and cultural sectors to be significant.

Zakiullah Mohammadi, a university professor, stated: “For fifteen to twenty years, Turkey has been actively cooperating in Afghanistan’s education sector. The Maarif Foundation of Turkey, Afghan-Turk schools, and other educational and academic institutions of Turkey are active in Afghanistan.”

Previously, the Education Foundation of Turkey had announced that it is striving to expand its activities in providing educational services to the citizens of Afghanistan.
