Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, rejected statements made by the US State Department spokesperson regarding potential terrorism threats from Afghanistan.
The deputy spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate said that there is no threat from Afghan soil to other countries and Kabul is committed to its promises in this regard.
The Deputy Spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate said: “We do not allow any group to operate in Afghanistan. Concerns in this matter are unfounded. The Islamic Emirate has adhered to its commitments and taken steps.”
Recently, the US State Department said that Washington must ensure that terrorist attacks are not carried out from Afghan soil against other countries. Matthew Miller, the spokesperson for this department, said that combating terrorism has been a priority for Washington.
Miller added: “We do continue to urge the Taliban to ensure that terrorist attacks are not launched from the – from Afghan soil. That has been a priority for us in engagements with them, and it continues to be.”
“We have six neighbors, five of whom have no complaints in this regard. Only Pakistan has complaints, but if we look at this issue deeply, the issues from Afghanistan are unrealistic,” Moeen Gul Samaknai, a political analyst, told TOLOnews.
Earlier, the Islamic Emirate has always pledged that Afghan soil will never be used against other countries.
