The deputy minister also assured representatives from regional countries that the Islamic Emirate is committed to maintaining and strengthening trade relations through railway networks.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works said: “The Deputy Director of Railways of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan spoke at the conference about the importance of railways from national and international perspectives. He assured neighboring and regional countries that the development of railway infrastructure is a priority for the Islamic Emirate.”
The conference discussed the development, standardization, and resolution of existing challenges in railway systems.
The Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines considers the participation of the Islamic Emirate’s delegation in such meetings beneficial for expanding Afghanistan’s trade relations via railways. They also stress the importance of attracting investment in this sector.

Recently, a delegation from the Ministry of Public Works also visited Iran to enhance railway cooperation.
