A large number of armed men have reportedly set up a road blockade and are conducting snap-checking in Gwadar, a key coastal city in Balochistan.

According to reports, the gunmen have blocked the highway between Pasni and Ormara, both tehsils of Gwadar district, inspecting vehicles and checking commuters.

During the blockade, the armed men reportedly seized weapons from a patrolling party of the Coastal Highway Police. They also set multiple vehicles on fire, including those transporting Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

So far, no casualties have been reported, and authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the situation. As of the latest reports, the gunmen are still maintaining the blockade. While similar attacks have previously been carried out by Baloch “pro-independence” armed groups, no group has claimed responsibility for this incident yet.
