The first group of Afghan pilgrims departed for Medina 

The Acting Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs said that this group consists of 230 individuals who are traveling to perform the Hajj rituals.

He added that to provide better services to the pilgrims, 652 instructors and 300 service staff will accompany the caravans to Saudi Arabia.

Noor Mohammad Saqib, Acting Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs, said: “A total of 97 flights have been arranged to transport pilgrims for the Hajj pilgrimage. Through these flights, 30,000 pilgrims from Afghanistan will be sent to Saudi Arabia, including 652 instructors.”

Meanwhile, the Administrative Deputy of the Prime Minister’s Office emphasized the need to ensure all facilities for Afghan pilgrims and urged them to respect the rules and laws of the host country.

Abdul Salam Hanafi, Administrative Deputy of the Prime Minister’s Office, said: “Each pilgrim should strive to properly represent their great nation. They must behave with good manners, full respect, and adhere strictly to the host country’s laws and regulations.”

Khirullah Khairkhwa, Acting Minister of Information and Culture, also stated: “Most of our compatriots traveling for Hajj are elderly. We ask the instructors, who bear a great responsibility, to treat each pilgrim like their own elder father or elder brother.”

According to the Ministry of Guidance, Hajj, and Religious Affairs, Afghanistan’s quota for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage is 30,000 pilgrims, who will be transported via 97 flights operated by two airlines.
