Amid the attempts to stabilize United States’ relations with China, President Joe Biden’s remark has again irked Beijing. During a fundraiser in California, Biden claimed that Chinese President Xi Jinping was upset when the US shot down a spy balloon.
Referring to Xi Jinping, Biden further said that it was a great embarrassment for dictators. However, China hit back at the US for calling President Xi Jinping a dictator. China said that the remarks were absurd and provocative. Joe Biden’s comments came just a day after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Beijing to lower tensions between China and US relations.
