The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), a “pro-independence” armed group, has claimed responsibility for an attack on Pakistani forces in the Malant area of Kech district’s Tump on Saturday morning.

According to a statement issued by the group’s spokesperson, Major Gwahram Baloch, the attack took place at approximately 8:30 a.m. and involved the use of heavy and modern weaponry. The spokesperson claimed that twoPakistani personnel were injured in the assault.

In the statement, the BLF accused Pakistani forces of “retaliating against civilians” following such attacks in an effort to bolster their morale.

“History is a testament to the resilience of oppressed peoples, who have defeated occupying powers time and again,” the spokesperson said, expressing confidence that Pakistani forces would ultimately withdraw from Balochistan.

The BLF reiterated its commitment to targeting what it described as “occupying forces” until Balochistan achieves independence.

No official statement from Pakistani authorities regarding the reported attack was available at the time of this report.
