The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for two attacks in Balochistan’s Mastung district, which left eight Pakistani soldiers dead and three others injured on Tuesday.

In a statement to the media, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the attack took place in the Gonden Marao area of Ispelanji, where BLA fighters ambushed a convoy of Pakistani security forces using heavy and automatic weapons.

The group reported that one military vehicle was destroyed and four others damaged in the ambush. According to the BLA, eight Pakistani soldiers were killed, and significant damage was inflicted on two of the vehicles.

Jeeyand Baloch added that a reinforcement convoy, including an armored vehicle, was later targeted by a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED). The explosion destroyed the armored vehicle and seriously injured three soldiers. The BLA claimed the IED attack halted the advance of the Pakistani forces.

Following the attack, Pakistani military helicopters were seen patrolling the area. However, the BLA stated that its fighters safely withdrew to secure locations without suffering any casualties.

The BLA reaffirmed its responsibility for the attack and reiterated its commitment to continue armed resistance against Pakistani forces, emphasizing that its ultimate goal remains the “liberation of Balochistan.”
