Pakistani forces have reportedly forcibly disappeared five individuals across Gwadar, Kech, and Panjgur districts in Balochistan, while four others have been released following detention.
In Jiwani Tehsil of Gwadar, eight individuals were allegedly taken from their homes in the Panwan area on 29 December. Four have since been released, but the remaining four—identified as Shah Jan Shahdad, Hassan Aziz, Sameer Abdul Hameed, and Imran Muhammad—remain missing.
Women in the area have staged protests, demanding their immediate release.
In Panjgur’s Garmakan area, Allah Bakhsh (son of Sabzal) was reportedly detained on the same day. His family says they have received no information about his whereabouts.
Meanwhile, two brothers, Majid Yaqub and Arshad Yaqub, have returned home after being forcibly disappeared from Gwadar’s Jabrekani Bazaar in November.
In Kech district, Salman (son of Ghafoor) and Salahuddin, who were taken from Tump Gomazi on 15 and 18 December respectively, have also been reunited with their families.
