The spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Jeeyand Baloch, stated in a press release to the media that BLA fighters targeted the “occupying Pakistani military” in two separate operations in Kalat and Mastung, and executed a detained state informant and collaborator for committing national treason.

He said that on  Thursday night BLA fighters launched a grenade attack on the security post of the main camp of Pakistani military in the Mangochar area of Kalat, followed by an assault on the main camp itself. “At least three enemy personnel were injured in this attack. The panicked enemy forces then indiscriminately fired on civilian populations,” he added.

The spokesperson further stated that on August 11, BLA fighters in the Isplingi, Maro area of Mastung captured Ubaid Kurd, son of Khudabakhsh Kurd, a resident of Sariab, Quetta, who was an important member of the so-called death squad formed by the Pakistani military and intelligence agencies. Ubaid Kurd had been wanted by the BLA for a long time, BLA spokesperson said.

“During interrogation, Ubaid Kurd confessed that he was leading an armed gang in Maro, Kolpur, and Dasht at the behest of the Pakistani military, directly assisting the occupying forces in military operations in these areas. He also admitted to being involved in the forced disappearances of several individuals, including Takkari Wahid Kurd and his younger brother Dad Muhammad Kurd, alongside the military, Jeeyand Baloch stated.

“Ubaid confessed that the occupying military had given his armed gang a free hand to engage in theft, robbery, and kidnapping for ransom in these areas. He admitted that he was directly associated with Shafiq Mengal, the leader of the so-called death squads, and had assisted in transporting around fifteen injured individuals to the hospital during the 2011 attack by BLA’s Majeed Brigade on Shafiq Mengal,” the statement read.

Measnwhile, another Baloch armed group, the Balochistan Liberation Front’s spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, stated in a press release to the media that on August 15, their fighters killed Nasir Ahmed, son of Pir Muhammad, an operative of Pakistan’s Military Intelligence, in Singani Sar, the central city of Turbat in Kech. This national criminal had been working for an MI officer named Ahmed for the past six years and had become very active in the last two to three years, he added.

He further stated that Nasir Ahmed was involved in the martyrdom of Shaheed Yahya alias Sake and Shaheed Shoaib alias Wadar, the enforced disappearance and martyrdom of Balach Baloch, and the attack on our two comrades in Shahrak.

The spokesperson further stated that this national criminal was an informant and facilitator for the Pakistani military and agencies, assisting them in military operations, including the killing of our fighters, and was also involved in other social vices.

He mentioned that Nasir Ahmed was responsible for forcibly disappearing youths in several areas including Shahrak, Kiken, Keesak, Turbat, and Buleda, as well as blackmailing, threatening, and using other tactics to force people, especially young people, to oppose the independence movement.

Furthermore, the BLF’s secret team and fighters recovered several documents (identity cards) from the possession of the state operative that belonged to people working for Nasir Ahmed, he added.

Mjr Baloch warned all such individuals, giving them a chance to refrain from anti-organization and anti-movement activities; otherwise, they should be prepared to face the consequences and punishment.
