The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has signed an agreement with the Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission (IARCSC) to streamline the bidding and contracting processes for mines.
Hidayatullah Badri, the acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, stated during the signing ceremony that under this agreement, the process for large-scale mining has been reduced from 228 steps to 95, while small-scale mining has been streamlined from 187 steps to 67.
The acting minister further explained that administrative procedures for bidding and operations on all mines in the country have been simplified based on this agreement. He emphasized the ministry’s commitment to facilitating the standard extraction of mines across the country. “In the large-scale mining sector, 133 steps have been removed, and in small-scale mining, 111 steps have been eliminated,” he noted.
The head of the General Directorate of the Islamic Emirate in Administrative Affairs also highlighted the economic benefits of these reforms, describing them as advantageous for the country, investors, and government institutions.
Noorulhaq Anwar said: “This initiative promotes transparency, standardization, increased trust, and better service delivery. It is a positive step for the government and the people.”
Shahzada Noor Rashid, head of the Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission, stated: “Since the Islamic Emirate took power in Afghanistan, 708 processes in around ten ministries and departments have been simplified.”
According to the Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission, the administrative simplification process in the Ministries of Education, Public Health, Mines and Petroleum, and municipalities will be completed by the end of the current solar year.
