Several participants in the second day of Afghanistan’s Second National Exhibition of Innovations and Top Inventions have called on officials in the interim government to support them in developing their products.

The exhibition, which opened yesterday (Sunday) at Badam Bagh in Kabul, will continue for four days.

Haseebullah, who along with a group of young people built a military vehicle in six months with limited resources and displayed it at

the exhibition, told TOLOnews: “When Israel attacked Palestine, as it is a Muslim country and they want to destroy Islam, this motivated us. We said to ourselves that we can create something and support the people of Palestine.”

Zia-ul-Haq, another participant from Farah, told TOLOnews: “I feel proud that I have built such a device, which, God willing, can help defend our homeland in the future.”

Participants expressed happiness at having the opportunity to showcase their creations.
Naqibullah, another participant, said: “We can stretch our hands, get water, or wash our hands. This system is designed for

laboratories and health centers, and we considered it during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Organizers said the aim of the exhibition is to promote the innovations of young people in the country and urged domestic and international partners to support these creative individuals.

Sayed Mohsen Sadat, head of research and innovation at the Technical and Vocational Education Administration, said: “Compared to yesterday, we had significantly more visitors. So far, we have registered over 2,000 visitors and hope to see even more in the coming days. We expect to achieve great results by the end of this exhibition.”

Obaidullah, a visitor, said: “It is a source of joy and pride that such an exhibition has been organized. It would be good if similar exhibitions were held in the future as well. This is beneficial for the future generations of Afghanistan to encourage creativity.”

The exhibition features 318 projects from 21 provinces displayed in 80 booths, showcasing innovations in technical fields, robotics, and agricultural tools over four days.
