The construction of a private plastic production factory has begun in Ghazni province, with an investment of 3 million US dollars.
The factory is being built on a 20-acre plot of land and will have a production capacity of 4 to 5 tons every 24 hours. It is also expected to provide employment opportunities for hundreds of people.
Sayed Farid Agha Hashemi, the factory’s manager, said: “We have invested approximately 3 million US dollars in this company, and 20 acres of land have been allocated for its construction. With the establishment of this company, job opportunities will be created for hundreds of individuals.”
The Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs, speaking at the inauguration ceremony, stated that the Islamic Emirate is committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens, and he called on Afghan investors to invest within the country.
Rahmatullah Najib, Deputy Administrative Minister of Interior, said: “We have remained steadfast in our commitment so far, and we continue to ask God to keep us firm on this path. We are ready to make every effort—and sacrifice if necessary—to protect your property, honor, and lives.”
Abdul Mateen Mowlawi Zada, head of the Afghan Workers’ Union, said: “We urge Afghan businessmen living abroad to return to the country. Here, the necessary facilities and conditions for investment in various sectors have been provided.”
Meanwhile, a number of workers have called on the caretaker government and investors to create more job opportunities for youth within the country.
Sayed Abdullah, one of the workers, said: “We ask our businessmen and investors to transfer their capital to their homeland for the sake of the country’s development. Many young people are currently unemployed, and establishing such companies can provide them with employment.”
Sayed Naseem, one of the investors, said: “We urge investors to invest in their own country, and we expect the government to provide the necessary facilities for them.”
At the same time, some industrialists in Ghazni have described the construction of an industrial township as a serious need, saying that their operations in residential areas are progressing slowly.
