The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has confirmed the identities of 11 individuals — including three minors — who were allegedly forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces near SBK University in Balochistan’s Nushki district.
According to details provided by BYC Nushki, Pakistani forces abducted “dozens of people” from the station area and its surroundings on the morning of 16 March 2025. The group includes three minors, drivers, labourers, and passersby, the BYC said.
The BYC noted that the list is incomplete, suggesting that more people remain unaccounted for. They highlighted the “growing fear and anxiety” among families of the disappeared and local residents, adding that the forced disappearance of minors and innocent civilians constitutes a “grave violation” of human rights.
The BYC called on international human rights organizations to urgently address the ongoing abductions and other alleged abuses in Balochistan.
