Unidentified armed men have reportedly attacked renowned Balochi singer Ustad Arif Baloch’s residence in a concerning escalation of attacks on prominent figures in Turbat, Balochistan.
According to reports,unidentified assailants opened fire on the residence of renowned Balochi singer Ustad Arif Baloch in the Koshqalat area of Turbat. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, as the singer was not present during the incident.Ustad Arif Baloch informed local media that the attackers not only fired shots but also hurled abuses, demanding immediate action from authorities.
This incident marks the second attack on a notable personality in Turbat this month. Earlier, on February 11, educator and principal of Sachan Grammar School, Sharif Zakir Baloch, survived an assassination attempt after being shot and injured by armed motorcyclists. Prior to this, his residence was targeted in a bomb attack followed by gunfire on January 31. Additionally, his son, Kamil Sharif, and relative, Ehsan Sarwar, were forcibly disappeared, with their whereabouts still unknown.
These attacks have instilled fear among the local populace, with many calling for enhanced security measures and thorough investigations to bring the perpetrators to justice.
