An armed attack targeted the convoy of Sarfaraz Bangulzai in Mastung, but he remained unharmed. Sarfaraz Bangulzai, a former insurgent, had previously surrendered before the Pakistan Army.
According to reports, Sarfaraz Bangulzai was traveling with his armed associates from the Splinji area of Mastung to Quetta when his convoy came under attack.
Additional Deputy Commissioner(ADC) Abdul Manan stated that Sarfaraz Bangulzai remained safe due to his bulletproof vehicle.
The attack took place at Mastung Maro, where armed men ambushed the convoy. An exchange of gunfire reportedly ensued between Sarfaraz Bangulzai’s guards and the attackers.
Authorities confirmed that following the attack, Sarfaraz Bangulzai was escorted to a Frontier Corps (FC) camp.
It is noteworthy that Sarfaraz Bangulzai had abandoned an armed separatist group and surrendered before the Pakistan Army two years ago.
