The alarming trend of enforced disappearances in Balochistan persists, with multiple incidents reported from Kalat, Kech, and Hub Chowki. These actions by Pakistani forces have sparked protests and roadblocks, with families demanding the safe recovery of their loved ones.
In Kalat’s Mangocher area, Pakistani forces conducted a raid early on Saturday night, taking three brothers into custody and relocating them to an undisclosed location. The missing individuals have been identified as Mureed Ahmed, Irshad Ahmed, and Mahboob Ahmed, sons of Muhammad Ismail Langove.
In response, the families and locals staged a protest, blocking the Karachi-Quetta Highway at Mangocher. The protesters have vowed to continue their sit-in until the abducted individuals are safely recovered.
In the Balicha area of Turbat, district Kech, loud explosions were reportedly heard on Sunday morning, after which security forces cordoned off the area and detained several individuals. Among those identified is Ustad Daud, while the identities of others remain unknown. Local sources reported that the operation created a wave of panic in the region.
