Two young men have reportedly taken their lives in separate suicide incidents in Balochistan. The first case was reported in Gwadar district’s Pasni area, where a young man identified as Shah Jan, son of Haider, hung himself to death on Friday. His body was transferred to a local hospital, but the reasons behind his decision remain unknown, according to sources.

In another incident, Amanullah, a 16- or 17-year-old resident of Irrigation Colony in Usta Mohammad, reportedly ended his life with a firearm on Wednesday. Sources indicate that domestic conflict may have contributed to his decision. Police arrived at the scene, completing a post-mortem before returning his body to the family, and they have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

These deaths are the latest in an alarming series of suicides across Balochistan, with several cases reported in recent weeks. Just days ago, Mohammad s/o Yaseen, a young man from Kech district, ended his life by hanging.

Balochistan’s suicide crisis, particularly affecting young people, has intensified as residents face escalating economic hardship, family conflicts, and, in some cases, pressure and alleged harassment at the hands of Pakistani security forces and death squads.
