Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, in response to reports of the shooting of Afghan migrants at the border with Iran, said that the rights of migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers are protected by international law.

As Afghans become the largest refugee population globally this year, surpassing Syrian nationals.”
The Islamic Emirate has assigned a delegation to investigate this incident, but no details of the delegation’s findings have been released yet.
Saleem Paigar, a political analyst, said: “The responsibility of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is not only towards the migrants but towards all the people of Afghanistan. It should create job opportunities for them and work towards gaining international recognition so we can get out of the political, economic, and military siege.”
