The United States Department of State said that it does not support armed conflict in Afghanistan.
The spokesperson for the department told Fox News that Afghans themselves do not want war in their country.
Fox News quoted a State Department spokesperson as saying: “The country was at war for 44 years. We do not want to see a return to conflict in Afghanistan, and we hear from Afghans that they don’t either.”
Meanwhile, Hamdullah Fitrat, Deputy Spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, welcomed the remarks from the US State Department spokesperson, saying that unprecedented security and stability have now been established in Afghanistan.
Fitrat highlighted that ensuring security and stability in Afghanistan benefits the region and the world.
The Deputy Spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate said: “This is a good stance that they do not support armed resistance in Afghanistan. After years of war and conflict, unprecedented security and stability have now been established in Afghanistan, and this security and stability benefit all countries.”
Several military and political analysts have welcomed the US State Department’s statement that it does not want to see armed conflict in Afghanistan again.
“The US wants to re-establish its presence in the region and Afghanistan through possible political and intelligence engagement,” said Sadiq Shinwari, a military affairs analyst.
“All the countries in the world must think about establishing a global public order, and this global public order should not be disrupted for a third time,” said Janat Faheem Chakari, a political analyst.
Earlier, the British Foreign Office also said that it does not support a violent struggle for regime change in Afghanistan.
