In a bid to raise global awareness about the dire human rights situation in Pak-occupied-Balochistan, members of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) took their message of freedom and justice to the streets of Cambridge, engaging with students and citizens alike.
During the awareness campaign, BNM activists distributed pamphlets detailing the ongoing atrocities in the region, urging the local community to stand in solidarity with the Baloch cause. They shared stories of resilience and highlighted the urgent need for support in the face of Pak Army oppression.
The protest aimed to draw attention to the grave human rights violations perpetrated by Pak Army in Pak-occupied-Balochistan, including extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, torture, harassment at checkpoints, and kidnappings for ransom.
The Baloch people have faced widespread atrocities since the illegal occupation of Balochistan by the Pak Army in 1948. The international community’s silence has enabled Pakistan’s military aggression in the resource-rich region through a lack of accountability.
The BNM leadership has consistently criticized the international community’s lack of action in addressing the Balochistan crisis, as they are indirectly enabling the violations.
Simultaneously, the BNM Germany Chapter held its 5th General Body Meeting in Hannover, while the BNM South Korea chapter will organize a protest in Busan city’s Biff Square to denounce the ongoing Pak Military atrocities, including killings, abductions of civilians, and the prolonged occupation.
