In Ladakh,the Kargil Sentinel Brigade,in collaboration with the District Administration of Kargil, organized the Yom-e-Fateh Platinum Jubilee celebration at Khree Sultan Choo Sports Stadium in Kargil, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of Kargil by the Indian Army.

The event commenced with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Kargil War Memorial, located at Helipad Kargil. The Chief Guest, CEC LAHDC Kargil Dr. Jaffar Akhone, GOC 8 Mountain Division Maj. Gen. Sachin Malik, DC Kargil Shrikant Suse, EC LAHDC Kargil Er Punchok Tashi & Syed Mujtaba, Brigade 121 Infantry Brigade, and other officers paid tribute by laying wreaths at the memorial.

The Chief Guest presided over an impressive March Past featuring contingents from Ladakh, the Police, NCC, and school children.

During this commemoration, thousands of spectators, including school children, enjoyed a vibrant cultural program showcasing various cultural troupes representing ethnic tribes of Shina, Balti, Purgi, and Dardi.

The highlight of the event was a rap performance by Guljabeen Fatima dedicated to the Indian Army, earning appreciation from both the esteemed guests and the audience.

Subsequently, the Chief Guest distributed prizes and medals among the winners of different competitions held to celebrate Yom-e-Fateh, honoring participants and cultural groups.

Meanwhile talking to media Prominent political activist Sajjad Kargili said that the Army is doing a wonderful job in protecting our brooders and also for the upliftment of the community in Kargil.

He further said the people of Kargil always worked shoulder to shoulder with the Indian army both in the days of peace and the war-like situation.
