The Union minister said a demand has been received for connecting three areas Sopore-Kupwara, Awantipora-Shopian, and Bijbehara-Pahalgam — with the railway line, promising that his ministry will discuss the matter. The minister said that they are constructing 146 Gati Shakti cargo terminals across the country and the railway line Banihal to Baramulla should have at least four such terminals that will boost the business and products from Kashmir including handicrafts, shawls and gypsum can reach every nook and corner of the country.
